Tuesday 10 Oct, 2017: The Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources wishes to clarify that issues raised by certain individuals in the local newspapers in recent weeks appear to be designed to tarnish the good image of the ministry.

Tuesday 22 Aug, 2017 - The Ministry of Fisheries and Marine Resources in partnership with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) has started implementing E-Monitoring on Long Line Vessels with two vessels already fitted with E-Monitoring Units at the weekend.

A combined raid by Ministry of Fisheries Compliance officers and Police on a warehouse at the Malaita Provincial capital Auki, has found more than 50 kilograms of dried beche-de-mer early this month.
